Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: August 2, 2025
This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to services provided through TarunRawat.com, including website development, website design, website optimisation, technical consultancy, maintenance, and other website-related consulting services.
By engaging our services or making a payment, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
1. No Refund Policy
All payments made for our services are non-refundable.
Once payment has been made, no refund will be provided, whether the client:
- Changes their mind about the project
- Decides not to continue with the project
- Does not use the completed work
- Is unable to provide required content, information, or access
- Experiences a change in business requirements
- Decides to use another service provider
- Is dissatisfied with the project after work has commenced
This applies to advance payments, partial payments, milestone payments, consultancy fees, development fees, design fees, optimisation fees, and other service-related payments.
2. Cancellation by Client
The client may request cancellation of a project at any time by contacting us in writing.
However, cancellation does not automatically entitle the client to a refund.
If the client cancels after payment has been made or after work has started, the amount already paid will generally be retained to cover the time, resources, planning, development, design, consultancy, and other work committed to the project.
3. Cancellation Before Work Begins
If a client requests cancellation before any work has started, the payment will still generally be non-refundable.
However, in exceptional circumstances, we may, at our sole discretion, consider providing a partial refund or credit. Any such refund or credit is entirely discretionary and does not create an obligation to provide refunds in similar circumstances.
4. Cancellation by Tarun Rawat
We reserve the right to cancel or terminate a project or service if:
- The client fails to provide required information or access
- The client repeatedly delays or changes the agreed requirements
- The client violates applicable laws
- The client engages in abusive, threatening, fraudulent, or inappropriate behaviour
- Continuing the project becomes technically or commercially impractical
- The client materially breaches the agreed terms
If we terminate a project due to a material breach by the client, payments already made will generally remain non-refundable.
5. Project Delays Caused by the Client
If the client does not provide required content, approvals, credentials, access, feedback, or other information within a reasonable period, the project may be paused.
Such delays do not create a right to a refund.
If a project remains inactive for an extended period because of the client, we may consider the project closed or cancelled.
6. Changes to Project Requirements
Changes to the original project scope do not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund.
Additional requirements, features, revisions, or services that were not included in the original agreement may require additional payment and may extend the delivery timeline.
7. Defects and Corrections
If an agreed website service contains a genuine technical issue attributable to our work, we will make reasonable efforts to correct the issue within the agreed scope.
A request for correction or modification does not constitute a refund request.
Issues caused by third-party software, hosting providers, plugins, APIs, changes made by the client or another developer, or unsupported modifications may be outside the scope of our responsibility.
8. Third-Party Payments
Where payments are processed through third-party payment providers, any applicable payment-processing charges or fees may be non-refundable.
The client’s use of a third-party payment method does not change our no-refund policy.
9. Subscription or Recurring Services
If a service involves recurring or subscription-based payments, the client may request cancellation of future renewals before the next billing period.
Cancellation of future renewals does not automatically result in a refund of amounts already paid for the current billing period or services already provided.
10. Cancellation Request
Cancellation requests should be submitted in writing using the contact details provided on TarunRawat.com.
A cancellation request should include:
- Client name
- Project or service name
- Date of payment
- Reason for cancellation
- Relevant order, invoice, or transaction details
Submitting a cancellation request does not guarantee approval of a refund.
11. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback, clients are requested to contact us so that the matter can be reviewed and resolved where reasonably possible.
Unauthorised or fraudulent chargebacks may be disputed using relevant transaction and service records.
12. Policy Changes
We reserve the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy from time to time.
Any updated policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
